Tristan the Toilet King!

My Big Boy

As I sit here typing, I cannot believe that my son who is now 31 months is no longer in diapers.  Yep, on Sunday Tristan threw all his diapers in the trash and we started a rigorous three day potty training which produced amazing results! When I say rigorous I mean it was literally the hardest thing I have had to do as a mother by far!  Constant following, reminding, catching signs, no distractions by phone, tv, other children, dogs, husband...nothing.  It was a 24 hr a day process for three full days but I can say that today, on day 4, that he now wakes up dry after naps and in the morning and will tell Mommy and Daddy when he needs to go potty.   Last night he woke up twice and came into our bedroom to tell us he needed to go.  No diapers, no pull ups.  Straight precious Spider Man and Thomas the Train and CARS undies.  Tristan was the extreme when it came to potty training.  He absolutely refused to sit on it and even at school he was the only one who never tried it.  Only wanted his diaper changed.  So when I say that this was the hardest thing...I really mean it!  Moms, if you are interested, you can purchase and download the e-book at http://www.3daypottytraining.com/.  We were referred to this by one of Tristan's classmates and it really does work, but you need to plan ahead.  We knew in advance that T would have February 4 off of school so we started on Sunday and went through Tuesday.  Warren helped out on Sunday with Olive and my mom was here on Monday and Tueday.  It was a success!  I'm so very proud of my big boy.  And think of all the money I will save on diapers....wait....scratch that.  I'll just move it over to Olive's food fund!

The pictures are from the snow Austin got last Friday.  It was the first snow since 2006!  Tristan played with the girls across the street all morning and had a ball.  It was all gone after naptime.

The only time he can stand in the street!
